After months of deliberation, TLC has decided to officially cancel ’19 Kids and Counting’.
“19 Kids and Counting” reality show alum Joy-Anna Duggar revealed she suffered a late miscarriage last week in a heartbreaking post with husband Austin Forsyth.
The couple shared a black and white photo to their joint Instagram account Wednesday from a hospital bed, with a heartfelt caption explaining to fans that a week prior, a doctor had told them their baby didn’t have a heartbeat.
“Although we don’t understand why, God has given us unexplainable peace and comfort during this very difficult time,” Joy-Anna and Austin wrote. “Yes, it still hurts and we have cried countless tears, but we know that we can trust the Lord. In the words of King David after the loss of his baby, ‘I shall go to him, but he shall not return to me’ (2 Sam 12:23). We don’t grieve as those who have no hope because we trust that we will see this little one again.”

Duggar, 21, had been in her second trimester. Previously, they announced the baby was due in November. The couple went in for a 20-week ultrasound and learned they were expecting a baby girl.
“We named her Annabell Elise. Annabell means ‘God has favored me,’ and Elise means ‘God satisfies,’ ” the couple explained. “What a precious thing to know that when our daughter opened her eyes, the first thing she saw was the face of Jesus. Please pray for continued healing, not only physically but for our hearts as well.”
Duggar was featured on the reality show “19 Kids and Counting” from 2008 to 2015. She’s the ninth child of the Duggar kids and married Forsyth on May 26, 2017. They have a 16-month-old son, Gideon Martyn.
